Concrete Acid Stain Color – COUPCOLOR® CAS

Concrete acid stains create color by reacting chemically with the calcium in concrete rather than using pigments. Because the color results from this reaction, they are not true paints. The final color varies depending on the concrete’s type, quality, and cement content — higher-grade concrete yields deeper, richer tones.

Risks and Limitations of Concrete Acid Stain Color – COUPCOLOR® CAS

Due to the acidity of this product, all-plastic equipment must be used to move,
maintain and spray it on the surface.

To apply acid stain on concrete, it must have passed 7 days since the concrete
was applied and the concrete has reached its initial strength.

It is better to apply a clear polymer or protective silicate coating on concrete
surfaces where acid stain is applied.
