ECS® COUPCLEAN is an acid-based liquid cleaner designed to remove efflorescence from various building façades, especially brick and concrete surfaces. It appears as an opaque liquid, has a purity of ≥ 98%, a pH of 1–2, and a density of 1.11 g/cm³. Due to its acidic nature, it reacts with metals and must be stored in acid-resistant containers.
Because the product is strongly acidic, fully plastic equipment must be used for handling, storing, and spraying. Avoid contact with eyes and skin, and avoid inhaling vapors. Eye contact can cause severe irritation, burns, and potential blindness; skin contact can cause redness, blistering, and burns. Adequate ventilation is essential during use, and the product must not be stored in metal containers such as iron, aluminum, copper, brass, zinc, or galvanized materials.
Eye contact: Immediately rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Skin contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and remove contaminated clothing; seek medical care.
Inhalation: Move the person to fresh air; if not breathing, provide artificial respiration and get medical help.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Seek urgent medical attention.
Although the product is non-flammable, contact with metals can release hydrogen gas, which may cause explosion when mixed with air.
